Cocchi Americano is an Italian aromatized and fortified wine from Asti, produced by the house of Giulio Cocchi. Built on a muscat-based wine and infused with botanicals such as cinchona (quinine), gentian, and citrus peels, it balances bright sweetness with a firm, refreshing bitterness. At around 16.5% ABV, it sits between vermouth and liqueur in intensity, offering floral muscat notes alongside herbal and citrus complexity.
Beloved by bartenders as a modern stand-in for the discontinued Kina Lillet, Cocchi Americano lends quinine-driven snap and citrus lift to classics like the Vesper and Corpse Reviver No. 2. It also excels simply chilled over ice with a citrus twist or lengthened with soda for a low-ABV spritz. Refrigerate after opening and use within a month or two for optimal freshness and aromatics.
