Cherry Dream Squares
Ingredients
- 1 Pkg. Pillsbury Plus Cake Mix (White)
- 1 1/4 Cup rolled oats
- 1/2 C butter – softened
- 1 egg
- 1 21-oz. can cherry pie filling
- 1/2 Cup nut – chopped
- 1/4 C brown sugar – firmly packed

Instructions
- 1.
Heat oven to 350°F. Grease a 13x9 in. pan.

In a large bowl combine the cake mix, 6 tablespoons butter and 1 cup rolled oats. Mix until crumbly; reserve 1 cup of the crumbs for the topping.
- 3.
To the remaining crumbs add the egg and mix until well blended. Press this mixture firmly into the prepared pan to form the crust.
- 4.
Pour the cherry pie filling over the crust and spread to cover evenly.
- 5.
In a medium bowl combine the reserved 1 cup crumbs, the remaining 1/4 cup rolled oats, 2 tablespoons softened butter, the brown sugar and the chopped nuts. Beat or mix until thoroughly combined, then sprinkle the mixture evenly over the cherry filling.

Bake at 350°F for 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
- 7.
Cool completely before cutting into squares.
